After years of imagining retirement on the road, we chose a different path — early retirement in Portugal, where the pace is slower, the days are sunnier, and life feels beautifully grounded.
Now we’re learning Portuguese, growing our first sustainability garden, and renovating our forever home into Encanto do Vale — a boutique retreat where guests can rest, reconnect, and experience the heart of rural Portugal. Through our YouTube channel and blog, we share the real journey of building a new life abroad, one root at a time.
